Winners of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing 2006, Darrien Wright and Hollie Robertson, have secured roles in West End musical Footloose as part of their prize.
The two dancers have been awarded a professional dance contract by the producers of the musical and will join David Essex, Cheryl Baker and the Footloose cast for a limited run at the Novello Theatre from July 3.
Following from the success of the eighties film starring Kevin Bacon, Footloose was adapted for the stage opening on Broadway in 1998. The musical made its West End debut in April this year and is currently booking through to September 9. It is presented by Mark Goucher, Michael Rose Limited, Tristan Baker and Jason Haigh-Ellery.
