Lindsay promotes London tourism in live theatre advert

Robert Lindsay has starred in the world’s first live theatre advert, which will be used to promote London and the West End across the world.

The initiative comes as part of Visit London’s £5.6 million project to encourage tourism in the capital and involves four actors in a three-minute sketch. After previewing at the West End’s Comedy Theatre, the mini-production will tour to Madrid, Dublin, New York and Philadelphia. Lindsay will be replaced by a well known local personality and the script will be adapted for the various audiences around the globe.

“I am pleased to lend my support to an initiative which promotes our city on stages around the world,” said the TV and theatre star, who is expected to appear in a West End stage production later this year.
