Les Dennis and Warwick Davis are to join the cast of the West End production of Spamalot.

Dennis joins the show as King Arthur on August 3.

Meanwhile, Davis, who appeared with Dennis in the BBC comedy Life’s Too Short, takes on the part of Patsy from September 23. His appearance in the show marks his West End debut.

Davis, who will be in the production until October 19, said he was “delighted” to be making his West End debut in the show.

Dennis, who is scheduled to appear in the musical until November 2, added: “As a kid I was always a massive fan of Monty Python so when Spamalot came to town I thought, ‘I’d really love to be in that’. I’m really looking forward to always looking on the bright side of life.”

The show currently stars Bonnie Langford as the Lady of the Lake. During its current run, different celebrities will also be appearing on a video recording as God for one week at a time. These include Barbara Windsor, Christopher Biggins and Larry Lamb.

Spamalot is directed by Christopher Luscombe and written by Eric Idle and John Du Prez.

It is produced by Howard Panter for the Ambassador Theatre Group and is currently running at the Playhouse Theatre.

  1. I have an email address that I cretaed specifically for business purposes and I get at least 30 spam emails a day. It started before I had even given that address out. But most spam filters will allow emails from those who are in your address book. But I’ve added addresses to my address book, only to have the responder use a different address. It seems you can’t win no matter what you do.
