Four audience members have been injured in a pepper spray attack in Dublin’s Tivoli Theatre when a man jumped on stage and started using the chemical repellent without warning.

The attack occurred last night just after the interval of a tenth anniversary performance by a local stage school and led to the theatre being evacuated as a precaution.

Gardai arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with the attack and a woman in her late 20s for public order offences. The motive for the attack remains unclear. None of the affected audience members are believed to have suffered permanent injuries.

  1. Every time I see this poster when on the eartlasocs on the Tube, I mutter “knob”.It’s the same with the bloke on the phone recycling advert (“Wonga!” OH SHUT UP ALREADY) – I’m sure these people are only trying to eke out a living, but there’s some immense cockitude going on there.
