Touring theatre company New Perspectives has appointed Sally Anne Tye as its new executive director.
She takes up her role at the end of March, replacing Chris Kirkwood who will leave the company at the end of February to become chief executive of Lincoln Drill Hall.
Tye has most recently worked as New Perspectives’ associate fundraiser alongside her role as head of development and fundraising for East Midlands orchestra Sinfonia Viva.
She has more than 17 years’ experience as a senior manager, working for companies such as Nottingham Playhouse, the Royal Centre in Nottingham, Leicester Haymarket and Sunderland Empire.
Tye said: “I have a passion for making the arts accessible to as wide an audience as possible. With a 40-year track record of creating, managing and touring theatre productions to rural heartlands and beyond, a dynamic East Midlands wide talent development programme and a new artistic vision, I am thrilled to join Jack McNamara and the highly skilled and energetic New Perspectives team to prepare for the first season under his artistic lead.”
