Little Angel Theatre has launched a festival to premiere professional puppet productions.

The company, which specialises in puppetry shows, will host the two-week event called Little Angel Firsts Festival. It will take place annually for three years, beginning this spring from March 11 to 23, 2013.

Participating companies will be expected to put on between one and four performances throughout the festival and then tour their production after.

The programme will include shows for adults and for children and will be priced at £5 per performance, according to the event organisers.

A maximum of six companies will be able to take part and those interested in applying have until November 20 to register.

Selected companies will be confirmed by December 17 after a judging panel has reviewed the applications.
