James Bond lyrics for Diamonds Are Forever signed by their songwriter Don Black and a Les Miserables film prop signed by Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman are two of the prizes available as part of a fundraising auction from Mercury Musical Developments.

The online eBay auction will take place from tomorrow until October 21 and money raised will go towards creating development opportunities for new musical theatre composers, lyricists and book writers.

A total of ten prizes will be available including a vinyl album of Marry Me a Little signed by Stephen Sondheim and a framed platinum cast album of The Phantom of the Opera.

The Mercury Musical Developments 20^th anniversary gala concert, featuring performances from Michael Xavier, Janie Dee and Danielle Hope, will also take place this weekend.

The event will be hosted at London’s Novello Theatre on October 14.

Michael Ball will also attend to present the Sidney Brown Memorial Award for new musical theatre writing.

Willy Russell, Charles Hart and George Stiles and Anthony Drewe will introduce performances on the night.
