London International Mime Festival will this year include British aerial theatre company Ockham’s Razor, Chinese puppeteer Yeung Fai and Belgian dance theatre collective Les Ballets C de la B.
The festival will run from January 10 to 27, 2013 across several London venues. These will include the Barbican’s Pit theatre, arts centre Jacksons Lane, the Royal Opera House’s Linbury Studio Theatre, the Roundhouse Studio Theatre, Soho Theatre, the Southbank Centre and the University of the Arts’ Platform Theatre.
Ockham’s Razor will perform Not Until We Are Lost at Platform Theatre, Yeung Fai will present Hand Stories at the Barbican Pit and Les Ballets C de la B’s The Old King will have its UK premiere at the Linbury Studio Theatre.
Meanwhile returning circus-theatre act Zimmermann and de Perrot will perform Hans Was Heiri at the Barbican Theatre, while Soho Theatre will host the world premiere of The Heads by puppeteer company Blind Summit.
London International Mime Festival is now in its 37th year and is run by artistic directors Helen Lannaghan and Joseph Seelig.
The full programme of events, including workshops and talks, will be announced at the end of the month.
