Michael Attenborough’s final season at London’s Almeida Theatre will include Henry James’ The Turn of the Screw, directed by Lindsay Posner.
This new stage adaptation from Rebecca Lenkiewicz will run from January 18 to March 16, 2013, with press night on January 24.
Design is by Peter McKintosh with lighting by Tim Mitchell and sound by John Leonard. The show will be presented in association with Act Productions Limited, Sonia Friedman Productions and Hammer Theatre of Horror.
The venue’s programme for January to June 2013 also includes the world premiere of Lucy Kirkwood’s Chimerica, directed by Lyndsey Turner.
The Almeida and Headlong co-production will run from May 17 to June 29, 2013, with press night on May 23. Design is by Es Devlin with lighting by Tim Lutkin and sound by Carolyn Downing.
Meanwhile, Matthew Dunster will direct Rodney Ackland’s Before The Party from March 21 to May 11, 2013, with press night on March 28.
The play is based on a short story by Somerset Maugham and has design by Anna Fleischle with lighting by Philip Gladwell and sound by Ian Dickinson.
Casting for all three shows has yet to be announced.
