Andy Williams dies aged 84

Singer Andy Williams has died aged 84.

The performer, known for hits such as Moon River, which was used in the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s, died today at his home in Branson, Missouri.

Williams appeared in The Andy Williams Show from 1962 until 1971, and went on to win three Emmy awards for the programme.

In 1999 his song Music to Watch Girls Go By made the top ten after being used in an advert.

He revealed last year that he had been diagnosed with bladder cancer and is survived by his wife, Debbie, and his three children, Robert, Noelle and Christian.
