Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is to present the stage version of To Kill a Mockingbird and a revival of The Sound of Music as part of its 2013 season.
Harper Lee’s American classic will open the next year’s summer season, in Christopher Sergel’s 1990 stage adaptation. It will run from May 16 to June 15 and be directed by Regent’s Park artistic director Timothy Sheader.
Meanwhile, The Sound of Music will run from July 25 to September 7, marking the first time a work by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II has been staged at the Open Air Theatre.
The final two productions in the 2013 season will be announced in the autumn. Casting for the productions has also yet to be announced.
