Horror festival announced by Leicester Square Theatre

London’s Leicester Square Theatre has announced its first horror festival, which will include a stage adaptation of the novel Dracula and a selection of plays written by Colin Hoult.

The 13th Hour Horror Festival will run from October 10 to November 4 and opens with Dracula, which is written by Adam Morley and produced by Sci-fan Corporation and AlleyKat. The play will run from October 10 to 28.

A selection of plays written and performed by Hoult, along with an ensemble cast, called the Real Horror Show will run on October 24 and 25.

Team of writers Cigarette Burns, which includes Kim Newman, Stephen Volk, Anne Billson, Paul McAuley and Maura McHugh, has created an anthology play, which will run from October 29 to November 3. It is called The Hallowe’en Sessions and is directed by Sean Hogan.

The festival will also feature zombie-themed comedy from Tiernan Douieb on October 30, called Zomedy, and a sketch show from comedy group The Beta Males called The Beta Males’ Midnight Movie Theatre on October 31.
