Ambassador Theatre Group has launched its fourth new production venture in the last 12 months, with the formation of Jamie Lloyd Productions.
The company joins recently announced joint ventures Jerry Mitchell Productions and Tali Pelman Productions, as well as subsidiaries Theatre Royal Brighton Productions and the long-standing Sonia Friedman Productions.
Director Jamie Lloyd will create work for the new company to be performed in London and the UK regions, as well as North America, Australia and other international territories. It will stage a range of productions, covering new writing, modern classics and musicals. Lloyd is a former associate director of the Donmar Warehouse and is also an associate artist at Headlong. He is currently directing Cyrano de Bergerac in New York and his most recent London productions are The Duchess of Malfi at the Old Vic and She Stoops to Conquer at the National Theatre.
ATG creative director and joint chief executive Howard Panter said: “Jamie Lloyd Productions heralds another exciting development in the expansion of our production activity. Jamie is a visionary director, who actors love working with and we look forward to his commissioning and directing new projects soon.”
Lloyd added: “I am delighted to be working with Howard and everyone at ATG. I’m looking forward to developing an eclectic range of work including new commissions made-to-measure for the West End.”
