Tiger Aspect’s drama head to step down

Tiger Aspect drama head Greg Brenman is stepping down from the role to launch his own production company.

Brenman, who has overseen productions such as Robin Hood for the BBC and Secret Diary of a Call Girl for ITV, will leave the Endemol-owned company at the end of the year.

He said: “Since Endemol bought Tiger Aspect two and a half years ago the collaboration has resulted in one of the drama department’s most successful periods. The only reason I would leave at this time is to meet the irresistible challenge of setting up my own company. Tiger Aspect’s reputation for being a great place to work is all true and it has been a very important part of my life, which of course has made my decision that much harder. ”

Brenman launched Tiger Aspect’s drama department in 1996.

Endemol chairman Tim Hincks said Tiger Aspect had “thrived” under Brenman.

“For now Greg continues to oversee Tiger’s line-up of eagerly anticipated drama projects but when the time comes at the end of the year we’ll be very sorry to see him go,” he added.
