New Perspectives appoints McNamara as artistic director

Jack McNamara has been appointed as the artistic director of the New Perspectives Theatre Company.

McNamara, who is a former participant of the Regional Theatre Young Director Scheme, succeeds Daniel Buckroyd at the East Midlands-based touring company. He will take up the role in September.

He said: “I am delighted to take up this hugely exciting opportunity. New Perspectives has a great reputation for creating high quality theatre and I’m thrilled to be leading them in the future.”

McNamara has previously directed Harold Pinter’s Betrayal at the Nuffield Theatre, John Retallack’s Apples for Company of Angels and has also served as an assistant director at the Royal Shakespeare Company. He is also producer and director for Future Ruins Theatre Company.
