New Moliere adaptation set in modern India announced

Tara Arts is to stage a new version of The Miser by Moliere, which has been adapted and re-set in modern-day India.

The production is entitled Kanjoos, which is the Hindi for miser. The classic French text has been adapted by Hardeep Singh Kohli and Jatinder Verma from a literal translation by Patricia Dreyfus.

Kanjoos – The Miser will run at the Tara Theatre in London from September 26 to October 13, with press night on September 28.
