Anita Dobson to make RSC debut

Former EastEnders actress Anita Dobson is to make her Royal Shakespeare Company debut in the Merry Wives of Windsor later this year.

Dobson, who played Angie in the BBC soap, will take the role of Mistress Quickly opposite Desmond Barrit as Falstaff. The production is being directed by Phillip Breen.

The Merry Wives of Windsor will run from October 25 to January 12, 2013 in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. It will play in repertoire with The Mouse and His Child.
