Gillian Anderson is to play Miss Havisham and David Suchet will play Jaggers in the BBC’s forthcoming adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations.

Harry Lloyd, Frances Barber and Paul Ritter also star.

Great Expectations will be broadcast over Christmas as part of the BBC’s celebration of the bicentenary of Dickens’ birth in 2012.
