Marc Warren to star in West End Cool Hand Luke

Marc Warren is to star in a new adaptation of Donn Pearce’s novel Cool Hand Luke in the West End.

The play, which is about a World War II veteran, will run at the Aldwych Theatre from September 23. Warren, who recently appeared in the Sky drama Mad Dogs, will play the lead, Luke Jackson.

The novel has been adapted by Emma Reeves, whose previous adaptations include Carrie’s War, which transferred into the West End. Cool Hand Luke will be directed by Andrew Loudon and is produced by Novel Theatre.
