Musical comedian Jason Wood – one of the contestants on the first series of Strictly Come Dancing – has died aged 38.
Wood, who was a regular performer at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and frequently headlined comedy clubs, became better known to the general public following his appearance in the first ever series of BBC1 show Strictly Come Dancing in 2004.
The performer was best known for his comic musical impersonations of performers ranging from Cher to Morrissey. No details are yet known as to the cause of his death on Saturday February 20.
