Antony Sher to star in Sartre’s Kean

Antony Sher is to take the title role in a new production of Jean-Paul Sartre’s Kean, set to come to the West End in spring 2007.

Joanne Pearce will play Countess de Koefeld, with Adrian Noble directing. The rest of the cast are yet to be announced.

The production opens at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Guildford on March 29 and will visit the Theatre Royal Bath, Festival Theatre Malvern and Theatre Royal Brighton before transferring to London in May.

Designs are by Mark Thompson with lighting by Peter Mumford.
