In many respects, taking Alain Robbe-Grillet's 1957 novel, La Jalousie, and adapting it for a dance/sculpture collaboration makes perfect sense. With its strong geometric structure and repetitive surface observations, the writing almost provides a map for artistic interpretation and suits the abstract minimalism of much contemporary work. By sticking too closely to this stark style in every aspect of the performance, however, this first full-scale dance piece for The Print Room often falls short of moving beyond an extremely clever, but cold experiment...
