The Eifman Ballet completed its short visit to London with a second dance-drama drawing on Russian literature. After an interpretation of Tolstoy's Anna Karenina came a modern-day take on Onegin, Pushkin's verse novel (1825-32) that tracks the pride and downfall of the eponymous hero. Boris Eifman made the ballet in 2009 and is said to have caused creative waves in Russia with its mix of contemporary setting and classic literature, as well as its use of recorded classical music and rock rhythms...
