Chichester Festival Theatre is now the number one regional house to transfer its productions to the West End. After London seasons for its revivals of Stoppard and Caryl Churchill, it's now the turn of the musicals, with the theatre's supreme versatility and eclectic tastes demonstrated by the fact that in the space of little over a month they're making a splash all over again with Singin' in the Rain as well as delving into far darker territory with Sondheim's tale of deadly revenge and cannibalism in Sweeney Todd.
