Given the subject and time of year, Phil Clark has written a sensible, roughly logical version of the old tale of beanstalk-climbing heroic village lads, generally called Jack, and flesh-eating giants who have a taste for the bones of Englishmen (for reasons not usually made clear - why not Irishmen or Frenchmen?)...
