It seems only appropriate that after a 33 year association with the Czech playwright and activist Vaclav Havel that The Conspirators should kick off the Orange Tree's 40th anniversary season. Artistic director Sam Walters has been a champion of Havel's work since his first production of Audience in 1977. Since then Walters has produced 12 Havel plays at the Orange Tree and, although The Conspirators was written in 1971, it marks Havel's first play as a banned author after the Soviet invasion of 1968 suppressed the Prague Spring...
