There is much to commend Trish Cooke and Robert Hyman's adaptation of the Cinderella tale as they bring it bang up to date in unique Stratford East style. There may be some questionable plot changes, such as the speed of the Baron's second marriage and the Fairy Godmother actually being the spirit of his late wife. These changes aside, there is a wonderful design motif throughout the show, created by Kristen Dempsey and Jenny Tiramani, some fun costumes and arguably the best and certainly one of the most imaginative transformation scenes in a Cinderella this year...
