True to form, the innovative OperaUpClose company - zealous producers of opera in intimate spaces - have found another popular opera on which to add its unique spin. Mozart's Don Giovanni gets not only a new English libretto by Robin Norton-Hale - who also directs - but also a live electronic score by Harry Blake, who introduces orchestral Mozart samples as well as dubstep and techno elements played on his laptop while seated on stage next to pianist Emily Leather, who provides the more traditional musical accompaniment...
