Following the huge success of The Gruffalo, Tall Stories brings us The Snow Dragon, the perfect Christmas show for three to six-year-olds. It's New Year's Eve and Billy the goat (or Billy the Kid) is sent out to gather berries for the snow dragon. Bright as a button and full of mischief, Billy - played by Daniel Naddafy - goes off on his adventure with the words of his parents ringing in his ears, 'Life is fun when you're No 1'. Kai Simmons and Louise Mai Newberry present the other characters Billy meets along the way, the wonderfully short-sighted hedgehog played by Simmons and Newberry's piggy, who likes nothing more than to roll around in mud. Directors Toby Mitchell and Olivia Jacobs have cleverly brought this tale to life by giving each animal different festive beliefs at the same time as weaving in a moral about tolerance and honesty. This production is bursting with energy, catchy tunes and audience participation that will not intimidate your three-year-old. A great set design of blue mountains by Polly Sullivan and a beautiful snow dragon puppet by Yvonne Stone brings a touch of the mystical to the show, which successfully mesmerises all the children...
