No matter how many times you see Jean-Baptiste Thierree and Victoria Chaplin's Le Cirque Invisible - for me it's five - it loses none of its allure. Back in London after two years, it has the audience in raptures from the moment Thierree steps onstage in one of his outrageous outfits - this time a pink candy-stripe suit... August 5, 2011

It's hard to believe that, in one form or another, this delightful circus has been going for almost 40 years - this show since 1990. But its creators, Jean-Baptiste Thierree and his wife Victoria Chaplin, have lost none of their youthful zest and charm. It's also strange that since their last London visit in 1996, their children, James and Aurelia Thierree, have become more well known for their own idiosyncratic shows and probably increased the audience for this one...
