In fifties London, the troubled music publishers Max Wax is beset by an internal power struggle while their best songwriter, Art has troubles of his own. Loving Art is Barry Fantoni's affectionate take on the Cliff Richard musical with crazy kids listening to rock'n'roll, corporate scoundrels trying to put them down and a happy-ever-after ending. Despite Fantoni's provenance, the result is an absolute disaster on so many levels, from a risible plot through to awful songs and a dreadfully executed design.
