Anthony Best opens this one-man show in miniature - an upbeat take on a traditional tale - as Ivor Step, the impoverished shoe maker and mender who can't pay his rent. He interactively introduces his shop, tools and fluidly feline puppet cat, Minou to the audience, casually explaining words like 'last', 'upper' and 'shoe tree' as he goes. Then he goes offstage to bed and the magic starts in the form of Moss and Teasel, benign elves who come in the night with their baby to make shoes for Ivor and save him from penury and his landlord...
