Georgina Rich is relishing her first West End appearance performing alongside Diana Rigg and Martin Jarvis in Joanna Murray-Smith’s Honour at the Wyndham’s Theatre.
Playing the grown-up daughter to Rigg’s abandoned wife, she says the high-profile cast have given her all the support she could have wished for.
“I was very nervous at the beginning of rehearsals - I’d seen Diana on stage since I was quite young. But they’ve all been so friendly and welcoming.
“It’s been amazing - the press night here was so dazzling. The dressing rooms are incredible.”
Georgina’s character may be 24 years old but she still feels the effects of her parent’s separation as keenly as any child. “When you’re older, your parents splitting up can be more traumatic,” says Georgina. “It’s difficult playing someone who is in such a horrible situation and is actually acting very out of character.”
Georgina joins the London show following a stint performing Shakespeare with the English Touring Theatre and the Sheffield Crucible.
Her screen credits include Warlock for Capriol Films, Tynan - In Praise of Hard Core for BBC4 and The Bill.
