Stoop to conquer

Published Tuesday 8 December 2009 at 10:05

In answer to the question in The Stage’s Dear John column from an actor considering whether he should ‘stoop’ to pantomime (November 26, page 12), I maintain that every day you are not on a stage entertaining is a day lost, whether it be classical theatre, farce, comedy, theatre in education, variety, or pantomime. From the lowliest job there is always something to be learned and stored. Take offers when they are there, for later on someone may not bother to book you.
