Pens and Needles

Published Monday 26 October 2009 at 16:30

If you were touring the country in the sixties and seventies and went to the New Theatre, Oxford, the chances were that you would come away with a copy of a brilliant cartoon of your company in action which had been drawn by Jim Needles, the head flyman. I still have my treasured copy of The Ghost Train Company’s visit in 1971. I am interested in tracing further examples of his work and wondered if any readers could help. Does anyone know if Jim is still drawing and how I might get in touch with him or members of his family?
