It was indeed a pleasure at last to read such an outstanding column from Patrick Newley (August 14, page 52).

Newley said everything so succinctly in the small space allotted to him and made the point so definite about calling actresses ‘actors’.

His phraseology was a delight, as ever, in bringing yet another case of political correctness to light. With Newley’s contributions appearing in the final pages of the paper, why not call it, “And finally with Patrick Newley…”?

More power to his elbow.
