Promising piece

Published Monday 30 June 2008 at 18:20

May I, through your pages, thank Pauline Daniels and her helpers and actors at the Liverpool Actors Studio, 36 Seel Street, Liverpool, for making the musical The Promise a huge success. It ran from June 9-14 and then due to popular demand, June 17-19.

The Promise was written by Joe Wall, a local award-winning singer and songwriter, and myself. We are both Liverpool born and bred, though I now live in France.

It was always our intention to premiere The Promise in Liverpool and we were very lucky to discover the Liverpool Actors Studio.

We promise that we shall return to Merseyside with The Promise. Also in the pipeline is a piece written for the city, called Liverpool Rainbow. We plan to use the talented young people of Merseyside who seem to be somewhat overlooked. We intend to prove Merseyside does have culture and talent.
