Playing a role

Your claim that Cameron Mackintosh has been denied a place as a panellist on the forthcoming BBC1 series I’d Do Anything is simply not true. For the record, there never has been any suggestion that he was likely to participate in that capacity.

As on previous similar series, the panel of three will be presided over by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Mackintosh will be keeping in touch with the production side at each stage - auditions, workshops, etc - as well as being involved in the decision-making process along the way. He will be on screen throughout the series, including some live studio shows, mentoring the Nancys and the Olivers and watching the progress of each of the contestants.
