Uplifting reviews

I am one of the ex-contestants from Grease is the Word on ITV1.

I have been very much keeping in touch with your articles over the past seven weeks, following the progress of the Grease contestants. I have agreed with pretty much everything that Alistair Smith has reviewed on the show and I know for sure he has caused a number of unhappy faces within the house of contestants also.

However, the main reason I have followed his articles so avidly is that he seemed to be able to see talent in my performance, where perhaps judges, etc, did not.

I came out of the competition in week three and since coming out have crashed back down to earth.

In order to take the leap on these shows, one must cut many ties with the real world, and on coming out of the competition, I have found myself jobless and with no offers coming in.

My main problem is that I have a lack of contacts in the industry, being that I have worked for one company (Explosive Productions Ltd) for so many years.

So I should like to thank Mr Smith for the great reviews he gave myself and Hayley while in the competition. When I felt like I was going unnoticed in the show, it was very uplifting to read his work.

Keep up the great reviews, I will continue to read them until the end.
