Cheap trash
Your letter (Stage Talk, January 11, page 8) about the rash of television series casting West End shows is right on the mark. Even US television has come to its senses over such programmes.
David Ian’s American series Grease: You’re the One That I Want has been criticised as cheap and trashy by the Washington Post which also calls it “shriekingly tedious”.
