Having watched How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? to its latest episode, it has become clear that there is only one contender for the part, that is Connie.
Whilst there is a wealth of talent in the competition, the ones that come through as leading lady material are Abi as Charity from Sweet Charity, as proved in last Saturday’s performance and Meliz, who would make a perfect Roxy Hart. Only Connie stands out as a Maria.
I am sure all the contestants will be successful in their careers and all the training and media exposure they have received during the course of the programme can only be an asset to them.
Let us hope that the public and Andrew Lloyd Webber make the right decision.
