Chit chat - A Barrow-load of votes

Published Tuesday 2 February 2010 at 10:45 by Tabard

Tabard was intrigued to see the results of the reader’s version of the Stage 100 - this publication’s annual power list of the great and the good in the theatre industry.

Of course, internet voting is always open to exploitation via coordinated campaigns and while all multiple entries from individuals were weeded out, the top 20 still makes for slightly peculiar reading.

Barrowman, we are told though, was a clear winner - polling around a sixth of the total valid votes. And that was after the organisers had had to disqualify nearly 500 votes for the Torchwood star that had all come from the same computer. Tabard would like to take the opportunity to make clear that rumours that the computer was the property of a certain Mr J Barrowman have proved entirely unfounded.
