Chit chat: Far from cock-shy

Published Monday 23 November 2009 at 11:15 by Tabard

A dubious honour for The Stage web team this week, after it managed for the first time - Tabard is pretty confident - to feature the word ‘cock’ not one, not two, but five times on the website’s home page.

Over the weekend, the review of the new Mike Bartlett play Cock was referred to three times, while a review of the play Secrets at the Cock Tavern was name-checked twice. We wonder whether this was all an innocent happenchance or some kind of cunning attempt at search engine optimisation.
