Chit chat - Projecting more than emotion

Meanwhile, in a theatre not owned by ATG and during a production not produced by them, an audience member was spectacular unwell during the week just gone.

According to reports, a theatregoer in the balcony vomited during a recent performance of Breakfast at Tiffany’s at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Unfortunately, the audience member wasn’t able to contain the sick in their own tier of the auditorium and it showered the poor people in the stalls below.

The best part of the whole story - well, Tabard chuckled - is the response from someone claiming to be said audience member (Jo from York) in the comments box on the Daily Mail’s website below its coverage of the incident.

“I’m afraid the person who vomited was me and I apologise for the distress I’ve caused,” it reads. “I initially felt a little queasy at the start of the performance and thought nothing of it and it came on all of a sudden and there was literally nowhere for me to go, as it were, as there were people sitting next to me.

“I was certainly not drunk, in fact I’m teetotal. I was as mortified as everyone else. Please don’t keep going on about it. Thanks.”

Sorry, we couldn’t resist.
