Chit chat - Backer to the front

Published Tuesday 27 October 2009 at 11:40

Meanwhile, a little way down the strangeness spectrum, Tabard has spotted on old theatreland face popping up on the wrong side of the curtain.

Harold Sanditen - former theatre producer, investment banker and employee of Bill Kenwright (in no particular order) - is now treading the boards as a cabaret singer. Although Tabard appears to have missed this, he apparently packed in the whole theatre producer malarky back in 2007 and decided to bang out a few show tunes. Expect numbers from Cole Porter, Ogden Nash, Stephen Sondheim, Cy Coleman, Neil Sedaka, Kurt Weill, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Jacques Brel and Burt Bacharach.

He’s performing at Pizza on the Park this month with his solo show Love Exposed. If you’re quick, you can still catch him on October 31 or November 1.
