Chit chat - Connie up close

Ever wondered what happened to Connie Fisher post-The Sound of Music?

Well, following a tepidly-received stage follow-up with They’re Playing Our Song and a TV drama debut with ITV which, despite being announced nearly a year ago, still hasn’t made it to screens, Tabard feared it might have all gone a little quiet for the plucky chanteuse.

Imagine how gladdened we were, then, to discover that Ms Fisher will, in fact, be performing a one-off show in Egham this autumn.

Yes, the public’s very own Maria will be making a special appearance as part of An Evening with Connie Fisher in front of a ‘select’ audience of 150 at the prestigious Tithe Barn venue at Great Fosters.

Tickets for the November 9 event are going from £169 plus VAT for dinner and entertainment, and you’ll even get a signed copy of From Connie with Love - her new CD compilation.

Egham is in Surrey by the way, in case anyone is unsure of how to find this little-known Mecca of live entertainment.
