What do Lee Mead, bingo and breast cancer have in common?

No, that’s not the start of a particularly poor taste joke about middle aged women - Mr Mead, he of Joseph fame, has joined up with fellow TV talent show discovery Connie Fisher and Kim Medcalf (‘er off EastEnders, or Sally Bowles from Cabaret, depending on your persuasion) to support a new campaign by Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

It’s all in partnership with The Bingo Association - no, I’m not making this up - and the three of them have agreed to ‘dab a doodle’ using a bingo dabber. The doodles will then be auctioned off on eBay from October 21.

Having seen the trio’s efforts, Tabard would like to commend both Kim and Connie on some true artistic flair.

And Lee, well, let’s just say that he’s not exactly top of the shop. In fact, trained monkeys could probably do better. There’s a reality TV show in there somewhere.
