Professional singer Ed Elias is helping champion the benefits of manuka honey as a cure for dry throats, a risk for performers, especially during the recent severe winter.

“The first thing any singer should do in this situation is rest their voice, drink lots of water - but not dehydrating drinks like coffee and alcohol - and avoid dust and smoke. It is also important not to choose pastilles and vocal sprays that numb the throat, masking the problem, as more serious damage can be done when singers and are unaware of the pain signals - many however swear by honey to soothe their throat,” states Elias, who is also the vocal health spokesperson for Green Bay products.

Said to be the world’s first 100% pure organic manuka honey lozenges, Green Bay Manuka Honeysuckers are claimed to help suppress the bacteria and viruses that can cause sore throats, and help prevent the throat and mouth from drying. Singers are being offered the chance to receive a 15% discount when buying on the Green Bay website (www.greenbayharvest.co.uk).
