London Light Production Services has supplied Rose Bruford College with a new ETC Ion console for use by students on its BA (Hons) Lighting Design course, continuing its longstanding working relationship with the college.

The company is also to provide the lighting tutors with initial training, which in turn will allow the college to offer students day to day support. Hansjorg Schmidt, lighting design programme director at Rose Bruford, said: “Students use the desk in our specialist lighting labs to create small-scale projects in a range of applications, from theatre lighting to product launch and concert lighting projects. The console is also used to serve college productions, both on campus and on tour, as well as for main college productions at a range of London venues.”

Over the summer, London Light also supported the college by doing its PAT testing on all its lighting equipment in its two theatres, two studios and three lighting labs, enabling the college’s technicians to take a break before the new academic year started.
