Festive hang-out

Festive revellers in London’s Covent Garden this year will be able to enjoy a visual treat, the area’s central plaza, Palladian-styled buildings now sporting specially created festive chandeliers.

While United Visual Artists provided the creative driving force behind the project, Litestructures interpreted the design into aluminium assemblies, pre-building and pre-wiring all elements at its Wakefield base. Litestructures then coordinated the installation, using a combination of LTM LoadGuard hoists to ensure safe suspension, with a dedicated rigging team from Alternative Access, to install it during the night. The result of a commission from Jackie Cooper PR, UVA specified four large chandeliers, two of them six metres high and another two, eight metres, one of each to hang in both buildings.
